What Is Global Warming?

Answer:

Global warming is the average warming of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the 1950s and its expected continuation.

The earth's atmosphere contains certain gases called greenhouse gases (mostly water vapor and carbon dioxide) which act to keep the lower layers of the atmosphere warmer that they otherwise would be without those gases. This hurts many people, animals, and plants. Many cannot take the change, so they die.

A recent report says that the world's surface warmed 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) sometime between 1900 AD and 2000 AD.
